HELP US HELP THEM
Dear Friends! The A.R.K. Emergency Veterinary Care Fund is started. This fund is to help animals in need who desperately need veterinary care but funds are low. This money will ONLY be used for our animals many who are disabled and require more medical attention.
We have many events in the works which should generate some really nice donations which is what we desperately need for the animals. I know times are hard for all of us but the worst times are the so many animals who are being abandoned in forclosures, surrendered for whatever the reason, and they are FLOODING the shelters and pounds. We need money to save them and get them to safety. They need a vet check and current immunizations prior to leaving any state to enter into another. This money will also aide in this. Along with spay and neutering, shipping crates, and anything else these babies need to safely make it to their new destination and off death row for the simple reason they do not have a home. we can save them but we all need to work together.
The A.R.K. is a fundraising group who count on the proceeds of these fundraisers and our sponsors in order to stay in the rescue business . Until I own my own home, this is the best I can do to support the ARK mission and our programs. The bond between an animal and their owner, friend, Mother, Father etc. is something that cannot just be read about to really FEEL that oneness and bond. Parents and their children have a loving bond but it is very different than one shared with a fur baby. Aside from God, NO ONE will ever love and cherish you more than your pet because we as human beings were not created this way.
Please, every dollar helps. It is easy and it will make you feel so good about yourselves and to the animals you have just helped. All of us animal lovers have a job to do and we may not be able to do what we really want to at the moment, but a donation is something we can all do to do our share being part of the solution of ending the problem with the millions of homeless, abused animals who are crying for you, me and anyone who hears the voice of an animal in need.
God bless you all and thank you,
EIN tax receipts can be written for your donations to be used as a tax write off on your income taxes as a charitable donation. KEEP ALL YOUR RECEIPTS because your charitable deductions can grow very quickly into the thousands and you may need the receipts in the case of an audit which I have yet to be done to me. Keep them with all you tax papers each and every year as they are your proof.
They need you and we can't do it without your support. Ask any low sponsorship, small non-profit rescue group. Helping them helps the animals, remember this.
A candle in the night
You look at all the people:
men. women, children and you read today
in their eyes an only heart,
what cries the search of liberty for a best world.
You breathe the color of your passion,
for the life, for the dialogue and for an only love
where all have voice and dignity.
You turn on the lamp in this night
and you give one thought of yours or a prayer
for the one who has forgotten to be.
You steal away the suffering from the memoirs
engraved in the past
and you pick up the last crumb of hope
because it is now that we can live the peace.

It's Time to Work Together to Drop the Hammer on Animal Abuse. If We Don't, Who Will?
Bella's Hope Rescue Unit
Leona Lewis teams up with WSPA to lower the hammer on animal abuse!
The four candles The Four Candles burned slowly. Their Ambience was so soft you could hear them speak...The first candle said, "I Am Peace, but these days, nobody wants to keep me lit."Then Peace's flame slowly diminishes and goes out completely. The second candle says, "I Am Faith, but these days, I am no longer indispensable."Then Faith's flame slowly diminishes and goes out completely.Sadly the third candle spoke, "I Am Love and I haven't the strength to stay lit any longer." "People put me aside and don't understand my importance. They even forget to love those who are nearest to them."And waiting no longer, Love goes out completely.Suddenly...A child enters the room and sees the three candles no longer burning. The child begins to cry, "Why are you not burning? You are supposed to stay lit until the end."Then the Fourth Candle spoke gently to the little boy, "Don't be afraid, for I Am Hope, and while I still burn, we can re-light the other candles."With Shining eyes the child took the Candle of Hope and lit the other three candles.Never let the Flame of Hope go out of your life. With Hope, no matter how bad things look and are...Peace, Faith and Love can Shine Brightly in our lives.

WHAT ABUSE DOES TO CHILDREN
Children who have been physically, sexually and/or emotionally abused not only suffer a wide range of effects from their victimization, but are at greater risk to be abused again. Abuse commonly produces feelings of:
guilt
violation
loss of control
lowered self-esteem.
Even those who seem to be handling their abuse are concerned that:
it might happen again
they did something wrong
future relationships might be abusive
LONG-TERM EFFECTS OF ABUSE
Common problems for abused children include:
emotional problems
behavioral problems
poor performance in school
further abuse
While these effects are not always obvious, they are important. Long-term studies of low achievers, runaways, drug abusers, prostitutes and incarcerated individuals paint a disturbing picture. Abuse is a consistent and pervasive element in their backgrounds. Low self-esteem and poor self-concept are ever-present. Knowing this, there can be little doubt that children who are abused, as well as adults who were abused as children, need assistance to resolve the questions that the abuse experience has raised, even if that assistance does not come until years after the abuse.
WHAT IS A CHARITABLE HEART? Message of ultimate wisdom
"What is a charitable heart? It is a heart which is burning with love
for the whole creation, for men, for the birds, for the beasts ... for
all creatures. He who has such a heart cannot see or call to mind a
creature without his eyes being filled with tears by reason of the
immense compassion which seizes his heart; a heart which is softened
and can no longer bear to see or learn from others of any suffering,
even the smallest pain being inflicted upon a creature. That is why
such a man never ceases to pray for the animals ... moved by the
infinite pity which reigns in the hearts of those who are becoming
united with God."
